Parts and Repairs
There are no repair facilities on Thetis Island. There is a small engine repair person who can help with your outboard, or basic engine troubleshooting. The nearest travellift is in Maple Bay. If heading north, then Nanaimo is the best choice, as there you will find chandleries and repair facilities for most problems.
The nearest marine parts store is in Duncan which will require a car trip. Basic automotive items can be found in Chemainus, with the most complete selection at R&S on the Trans Canada Highway outside town. It is a short taxi ride from the ferry, but not really walking distance. Should you choose to walk it, go up past the golf course, which is located on the south side of town near the Best Western, and it is just to the right of the lights at the highway.
